Archibald Lab

Welcome to the Archibald Lab in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada!

We study the genes and genomes of microorganisms. We are particularly interested in how (and how frequently) genes are transferred between eukaryotes, prokaryotes and viruses, as well as how endosymbionts become organelles. To learn more, please click here.

Dalhousie University is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq. We are all Treaty people.
